SPCAA is seeking high enthusiastic individual to serve as Center Director/Family Support Worker in coordinating services to enrolled children and families in our Head Start program at Cub House in Brownfield, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Works collaboratively with site staff to ensure all Head Start Performance Standards, The Head Start Act, and TDFPS Minimum Standards are implemented as set forth in the SPCAA Head Start and Early Head Start policies and procedures.
•Ensure all program areas are integrated (education, nutrition, mental health, health, disabilities, and transportation)
•Ensure accurate records of enrolled children, families and site staff are maintained, including ChildPlus.
•Provide for or arrange for any technical assistance and/or training needed by partner staff and FSWs directly supervised to allow them to effectively perform job duties
•Maintain up to date knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing Regulations, child development concepts, social services, parent involvement, health, family services, services to children with disabilities and other applicable laws and regulations required to ensure program compliance
•Disseminate information to staff in a timely and effective manner
•Coordinate with partner site staff to ensure parent committee meetings including orientations and special events are scheduled, facilitated and documentation is complete and properly distributed.
•Work with FSW to ensure needs of children and families are met
•Ensures the funded enrollment of children is maintained for each partner site
•Ensure all postings are up to date and complete
•Ensures the site is maintaining required supervisor of children and child/staff ratios at all times.
•Capture, value, and appropriately document In-Kind, non-federal share
•Health and safety checklist are done bi-monthly
•Ensure mileage sheets, vouchers and vehicle maintenance are scheduled for vehicles issued to those directly supervised are turned in monthly
•Work directly with staff supervised by this position to set work schedules, including leave requests
•Assist communication between partner staff and SPCAA staff

••Ensure that children of all race, religion, family background and cultures are treated with respect.
•Assure confidentiality of all children, families and co-workers.
Timesheets must be accurate and completed on a daily basis.
•Ensure any on-the-job accidents are reported immediately and followed-up with appropriate forms.
•Report any suspected fraud and abuse to the direct supervisor or SPCAA Fraud and Abuse Officer.

•Individuals hired after December 1, 2016 will be preferred to hold a Baccalaureate or Associate’s degree.
•Team Leaders who do not hold a baccalaureate or an associate’s degree will be encouraged to obtain a baccalaureate degree, related to one or more of the disciplines they oversee.
•Experience in one or more of the main Head Start content areas of a human service program serving low-income families with young children.
•Must possess ability to provide reliable self-transportation capable of regional travel. Must possess and maintain valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s permit of appropriate classification and endorsement as required. Must agree to maintain a satisfactory MVR and minimum requirement of insurability as required by law. MVR background checks may be conducted by the agency.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills required
•Available for night and weekend work as needed.
•Able to obtain and maintain First Aide and CPR certifications
•Must be able to pass regular criminal history checks
•Must comply with the Health Requirements and Preventative Health Practices procedure
•Computer and technology skills: word processing software, spreadsheet format, e-mails, internet and other necessary programs
•Must be willing to take and pass a drug/alcohol test and comply with the “Drug Free”: Agency Policy
